Taylor Bruninga is a rising voice in outlaw country, blending gritty authenticity with the kind of lived-in stories that only come from life rerouted.
Born and raised in Mapleton, Illinois, Taylor grew up in a sports-focused family. He was a dual-sport athlete, playing Division I basketball at Illinois State and baseball at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. After a string of injuries ended his college athletic career, the momentum didn’t stop, it shifted. At 23, he picked up a guitar for the first time and started writing songs with the same focus he once gave the game.
